Why Choose Siding Claims Center (“SCC”)?
Did
you know that there are time limits on all settlements?
Due to settlement time limits, it is important that the filing
process begin immediately. Some of the manufacturer time limits
have even already expired. Don’t delay and lose out on potential
settlement funds that may be due to you.
There are many different hardboard
siding and roofing products on the market. What product do you
have on your property?
Many
property owners are unaware of their rights to be compensated for
certain hardboard siding and roofing products that are currently
on their property. SCC specializes in identifying if the product
on your property is eligible for class action settlement funds and
has the knowledge and experience that allows us to get claims
filed quickly.
What
if after submitting a claim, you were advised the product on your
property was not covered under the settlement?
SCC specializes in identifying if the product on your
property is eligible for class action settlement funds. SCC has
provided claim assistance to property owners who received
notification that their claim was denied as a result of their
property not having the right product. Since errors can be made,
SCC verified product eligibility and in cases when the product was
in fact covered under the settlement, SCC questioned the claim of
ineligibility for the property owner and provided additional
information to support the claim. As a result of SCC effort, a
re-inspection was completed on the property, by a court appointed
inspector, and the property owners have now received a settlement
for qualified damage on their property. Had the claim of
ineligibility not been questioned, the property owners’ property
would have been classified on the ICA system as a disqualified
claim. It is
important to have the assistance of a company whose experience in
the claim process can address the questions that may arise
regarding your claim during the process.
How
do you know you have received a fair inspection?
SCC services do not stop with the writing of your claim. When your
inspection results are received in our office, we review the
inspection results against the pictures and notes that were taken
by your claim representative on your property. A SCC
representative will then relay whether we believe you received a
fair inspection, as well as the options currently available to you
under the settlement.
SCC
fee is based on a percentage of the settlement, why?
SCC bases our fee on a percentage of the settlement because we do
not want you to incur any costs* unless we are able to obtain a
settlement for you. If we do not obtain a settlement for you,
there is no cost to you for our services. By basing our fee
strictly on your receiving a settlement, you are guaranteed that
we have your best interests in mind.
Why
should I use a claim service when I could file on my own? Property
Owners do in fact have an option to file on their own. There are
however things to consider before deciding whether to go it alone
or not. SCC specializes in filing hardboard and roofing claims. We
use our knowledge and experience to assist property owners in all
facets of the claim process.
The
claim process can often be complicated. Each settlement is
different and the requirements for filing a claim vary greatly. A
successful claim depends on filing with the correct independent
claims administrator, providing the appropriate paperwork and
documentation, and interpreting inspection results. When
corresponding with the independent claims administrators, SCC
tracks all information and correspondence that is sent to them to
ensure it is received and recorded in a timely manner.
SCC
takes care of the costs associated with filing your claim*. Our
office maintains a database on each claim and we review the
progress of your claim on a regular basis. We follow-up with ICA
if we find that the progress of your claim has not fallen within
normal processing time frames of the particular independent claims
administration office with whom your claim was filed. Although
each claim process is different and there are circumstances that
may change or effect typical time processes, we continue to
follow-up on your claim until the process is complete. Most
importantly, SCC fee is based on when you receive your settlement
and thus we have your interest in mind to obtain a settlement for
you as soon as possible.
*some settlements require
proof of product in the filing process which may include a sample
of the siding from the property or a refundable inspection fee.
The choice of proof is left up to and is the responsibility of the
property owner.
